The Metal Gear Solid 4 Mega-Hype Thread | 56k (moved)

I bet there are certain play elements in MGS4 which are kept secret knowing Kojima, I'm certain there is going to be something out of the ordinary when we finally get to play this landmark game. I expect alot of little Kojima touches in MGS4 as well Huge shocks storywise plus some breath-taking Boss fights, Screaming Mantis will definitely not be an ordinary boss fight.

I am literally counting down the days till I can hold MGS4 in my hand. The game is jam-packed with awesomeness, the features are are just way too many to list plus TC has already listed them all in it's entirety.... for now.

I don't think it does--I could be wrong. But I've done some extensive research on this, and seems like MG1 & 2 were on the extra disc in the Japanese release. But since extra discs are not included in the upcoming N. American release, I don't think they're included. Also, I thought I remember Ryan mentioning on the podcast that they won't be. I hope they will be, though.

Damn. I think you're right. I checked Gamestop and it said it'll have the originals in there, but everyone else around the web says it's false. Oh well, I guess I'll just buy Subsistence on its own.

Are we completely sure that the collection that comes out tomorrow doesn't contain those games? I shall be greatly saddened if it lacks them.

I think MGO is going to be a big boost to PSN's image as a quality place of competitive mulitplayer. I can't wait to get into it.

It doesn't matter what score it gets. Automatically we know it going to be an awesome game.

If it scores 8.5, and some SW D-bag wants to scream "FLOP LOL" all day long, . . . .I absolutely will not care.

True gamers don't care about the score. I will never indulge in such fanboy logic. I won't gloat if it scores a 10 nor defend if it gets a 7.0.

No, MG 1&2 are included on the second disc of MGS3 Subsistence, which is not included with the EC. You'll have to buy Subsistence by itself if you want the second disc.

I'm gonna go with Rex because it just looks like a juggernaut while Ray looks quite feminine. Sure Ray can go under ocean but I believe on a land battle Rex will have an advantage due to his heavy look.

Honestly if there was a demo I would avoid playing it. I played the MGS2 demo to death waiting for the game to release and then when I got it I was kind of sad at how quickly I flew throught the first part because I had it memorized from the demo. I dont wanna ruin the story for myself anymore.
